The Khatsahlano Block Party is back and better than ever this summer. On Saturday July 12th from 11:00am to 9:00pm, West 4th Avenue from Burrard to MacDonald will be dominated by the biggest music and arts festival in Vancouver. More importantly, the festival is a celebration of community. 聽And it鈥檚 all free of charge!
10 city blocks. 40 food trucks. 50 local bands. 100鈥檚 of vendors.
If that wasn鈥檛 already a recipe for a great day, this year鈥檚 Khatsahlano festival will introduce the first appearance of this year鈥檚 Peak Performance Top 12, three Mill Street Brewery outdoor beer gardens, and art programming by Arrival Agency. Last year鈥檚 festival attracted over 118,000 people to the event.
The musical line-up includes The Poppy Family Experience, which includes Susan Jacks and features members of New Pornographers, Black Mountain, and Destroyer. Last year鈥檚 Peak Performance Project winner Rykka will also be performing, as well as other local favourites including Aidan Knight, Young Liars, newcomers Mu, and much more.
