Timing is everything.
The two members of Leisure Cruise are no strangers to the music scene. In fact, their union was a result of their very connection through the local music scene in New York. Dave Hodge was part of Broken Social Scene and Bran Van 3000, and Leah Siegel was associated with The Citizens Band and her solo project Firehorse.
It was the timing of Hurricane Sandy that planted the seeds of the project between Hodge and Siegel, which eventually led to a two months of writing, recording, and mixing. The result? A collection of darkly hypnotic, danceable synth-based anthems which can be found on their self-titled album on Last Gang Records.
