Last weekend, those in attendance at Wise Hall in Vancouver were treated to a lovely evening with The Folk Road Show.
The four musicians of The Folk Road Show – Olaf Caarls, Benjamin James Caldwell, Pieter Van Vliet, and Dominique Fricot played individual sets, and then collectively joined together to play on each others’ songs. While the venue itself had a sense of familiarity and comfort, it certainly felt even more like an intimate affair with the four musicians performing on the floor rather than on the elevated stage.
There is much to be said about the way that music can bring people together, and The Folk Road Show is a living example of that.
