The month of May has been the month of The Katherines. This is only the beginning for Kate Kurdyak, Lauren Kurdyak, and Kaitlyn Hansen-Boucher in the adventures of being The Katherines. The trio was officially announced as a band at the beginning of this month, which has been a notion long in the making.

The Katherines played their debut show this past Friday at the Biltmore Cabaret. The latest addition to the 604 Records roster had built quite the buzz surrounding the show, and the evening certainly did not disappoint.

The 604 Records Christmas party was just how you would imagine it – a room full of some of Vancouver’s finest musicians and those who enjoy the music of those very artists. By the time the music started, The Belmonte Bar was already packing in quite the crowd on a Thursday night.

604 Records will be throwing their 5th annual Christmas Party this Thursday December 11th at The Belmonte Bar. The evening will include live performances from Kate Kurdyak, Cat Thomson, and Bucko & Toad.

Kate Kurdyak is one of the newest additions to the 604 Records roster. Kurdyak and her band were the winners of Youthink Magazine’s ‘BC’s Best Teen Band’ back in 2012. Granville Island is one of the places where the group can be found playing music on a sunny day, so the Backstage Lounge is a fitting venue for a show next week on Wednesday June 11th.
