Lovecoast celebrated the release of their debut EP, Chasing Tides, with a show at The Waldorf earlier this month.聽Friends, family, and fans waited patiently upstairs at The Tiki Bar ahead of the doors for an evening of good music and even better times.
Starting off the evening was Chersea, who brought her usual cheerful and sunny personality along with her blend of ethereal, ambient indie-pop. Describing herself to the audience as a one-woman band, Chersea played an energetic set with her loop pedal in tow. Cosmic indie rockers Goodwood Atoms were the second act of the night. The band is the house band at The Juniper Room and were recently finalists in The Peak Performance Project this year.
Last but not least, Lovecoast made their way onto the stage to聽 showcase tracks their new record. There was a radiance emitting from the stage as lead singer Danielle Sweeney poured her heart and soul into her vocals. Backed by her equally beaming band mates, guitarist Scott Verbeek, bassist Andrew Fraser, and drummer Jesse McNeill — Lovecoast was definitely the band of the hour and of the moment.
