HAIM recently released their latest track, “Now I’m In It”, a vulnerable depiction of going through a depression. There is raw emotion not only felt in the track, but also brought to life in the accompanying music video. There is a cathartic release layered in the fast-paced tempo and heartfelt lyrics of the song, intended to mirror the chaotic nature of Danielle Haim’s own experience with depression.
now i’m in it is about going through it.
a depression. not leaving the house type of shit. for my sisters and i, there have been times in our lives where we have felt like we are stuck in a dark hole. pic.twitter.com/8oaJfYPYsC— HAIM (@HAIMtheband) October 28, 2019
This track is a lovely reminder to be compassionate not only of what others might be going through, but also to be compassionate with yourself too.
