A full moon, rainy forecast, and a Monday evening in Vancouver—the perfect backdrop for Madi Diaz‘s show at the Fox Cabaret for The Weird Faith Tour.
Nashville-based singer-songwriter Daniel Nunnelee warmed up the stage and quickly bonded with the audience as he pulled newly written songs out of his back pocket to add to his set.
Madi Diaz then graced the stage and kicked her set off with “Same Risk”, the first track off of her latest record Weird Faith. Diaz was joined by her longtime touring band member, Adam Popick, who was multi-tasking on backing vocals, drums, and the keys.
Diaz is an effortless storyteller and songwriting, channelling the human experience in her songs in a way that makes you feel understood. As she made her way through her setlist, you could see the emotional connection that the audience was feeling as they nodded or sang along to Diaz’s lyrics.
Diaz is wrapping up her tour in early April before joining Kacey Musgraves on the road in Europe. Find those tour dates and more about her music at https://madidiaz.com.
