On Saturday July 12th from 11:00am to 9:00pm, West 4th Avenue from Burrard to MacDonald will be dominated by the biggest music and arts festival in Vancouver. Cat Thomson is wrapping up her recent Spring Into Summer tour which graced stages in Western Canada and with an appearance in Toronto during Canadian Music Week. The last show of her Spring tour will be at Backstage Lounge at Granville Island here in Vancouver.

Real Ponchos will be independently releasing their debut full-length album, Since I Let You Go, on May 6th. The Vancouver alt-country band will be kicking off a cross-Canada tour next month starting with their album release party in Vancouver on May 2nd at the Anza Club, where the band’s set list will include the entirety of the new album.

Last week, the City of Surrey announced the details for this year’s Party for the Planet – including musical headliners Said The Whale and guests Andrew Allen, Dear Rouge, Jordan Klassen, and Jeremy Fisher. The fourth annual festival will be held on Saturday April 26th and continues to be one of the largest Earth Day events in British Columbia.

Cara Luft is currently two weeks into her Western Canada tour dates, having kicked off her tour in her hometown of Winnipeg on January 25th. Prior to this, Luft spent the past year touring overseas in support of her latest album, Darlingford. Her return to the Canadian stage is more than welcome.
