Music BC will be partnering with the Upstream Music Fest + Summit taking place in Seattle’s Pioneer Square from May 11th to 13th. BC artists have the opportunity to be showcased at the inaugural event by applying online by March 22nd.

Earlier this week, MusiCounts made an announcement at Abbotsford Senior Secondary School alongside special guests Marianas Trench. The Canadian music education charity announced the donation of $55,000 to six BC schools as part of their Band Aid Program.

Mounties, the super-group consisting of Hawksley Workman, Steve Bays (Hot Hot Heat, Fur Trade), and Ryan Dahle (Limblifter, Age of Electric), announced their Canadian tour dates last month. Today, JPNSGRLS revealed that they would be joining their label mates for the Western Canadian dates, along with the previously announced Rich Aucoin. The Zolas and James Younger will be supporting Mounties for the Ontario and Montreal shows.
