Paige Morgan is getting ready for the release of her debut record, slated for release in September through 604 Records. She recently released her third single “High Life”, which includes a few bonus tracks on iTunes.
SOTD: Louise Burns – Heaven
Louise Burns is no stranger to the local music scene with her melancholy blend of noir-pop. Her sophomore release, The Midnight Mass, was released last year through Light Organ Records. “Heaven” is the latest track off the record, and the video was directed by Daniel Code and produced by Anthem Jackson Productions.
SOTD: Bed of Stars – The Spell
Bed of Stars recently released an enchanting black and white music video for “The Spell”. The track is off of Bed of Stars’ newest EP Tell Me If It’s True, available now via Bandcamp. Evan Konrad, otherwise known by his moniker, has been in the studio working on more new material for an upcoming release for early next year. He will be playing a few shows coming up this summer, including a Canada Day show in Abbotsford.

JPNSGRLS are getting ready for a busy summer. Last week, the band released a music video for “Smalls”, which serves as the first single from their upcoming debut full-length album Circulation due July 15th.
SOTD: Brody Dalle – Meet The Foetus / Oh The Joy
You may be familiar with Brody Dalle through her former bands The Distillers and Spinnerette, but the Australian-born singer-songwriter and guitarist has been making waves with her recently released solo album Diploid Love. The first single from the album, “Meet The Foetus / Oh The Joy”, was inspired by Dalle’s children and features Shirley Manson of Garbage. Dalle will be playing a sold-out show tonight at Venue in Vancouver.

William Fitzsimmons has a knack for writing beautiful songs. The track “Fortune” is off of his latest record, Lions. The singer-songwriter based in Illinois by the way of Pittsburgh will be playing tonight at the Biltmore Cabaret.

Vancouver’s own emoji-pop band BESTiE released a new video this week for “Foolish Hearts” off their debut album No Bad Days. The band is currently touring across the country in support of the release, including stops in Toronto next week as part of Canadian Music Week.
SOTD: Mu – To Be Young
There is an ethereal element to Mu’s music that is as equally charming as it is intriguing. The pop-electronic duo from Vancouver consists of Francesca Belcourt and Brittany Rand, who will be playing their debut show at The Colbalt tonight (917 Main Street).
