This Irish band has been heating up across the waters for the past two years, and have recently been touring in the US with former Idol winner, David Cook. In continuing with the Idol connection (all the mentioned acts are all signed under RCA Records), The Script also received some attention when current winner Kris Allen covered one of their b-sides, “Live Like You’re Dying”, as his debut single.
There’s something about The Script’s music that keeps you on the edge of your seat; it’s different from the generic pop music you hear on the radio. Lead singer Danny O’Donoghue’s soulful voice is flawless, especially paired with the storytelling lyrics, and we can only hope that they make their way up to Canada soon enough, so we can hear it for ourselves.
