Jordan Klassen will be releasing his sixth full-length record, Marginalia, on October 20th. “Casey” is the latest teaser from the new album and touches on the struggles around asking for help, and the bittersweet relief on the other end of it.
In Klassen’s own words: “Casey is a prayer, asking for intervention from being caught in a seemingly never-ending cycle of mental illness. The character represents the divine, anthropomorphized. There is a bit of ‘oh God my God why have you forsaken me?’ in it.”
