Dizzy @ Biltmore Cabaret – November 7, 2023

It might just be the nature of Dizzy‘s music, but their show on Tuesday night at the Biltmore Cabaret felt like a hometown show, or at least it felt like home.

Winnipeg-based singer-songwriter Cassidy Mann opened the evening with a beautiful set that included songs from her 2022 EP, If It’s Not Forever, and a 10/10 cover of Taylor Swift’s “Clean”.

The moment that Dizzy hit the stage, the audience at the Biltmore was captivated and all eyes were on lead singer Katie Munshaw as she carried the room through a jam-packed setlist that weaved all three of the band’s albums. The four-piece band, including guitarist Alex Spencer, bassist Mackenzie Spencer, and drummer/instrumentalist Charlie Spencer, were tight and a joy to experience live.

Notably, the songs off of their latest self-titled release translated incredibly well for their live show—the band kicked the show off with “Birthmark” and brought in “Open Up Wide” near the end.
