Q: Introduce yourself!

Alex Fraser: I am a singer-songwriter based in Vancouver Island, British Columbia. I’ve been writing and producing my own original music since 2017, with over 1.5 million Spotify streams to my name thus far. My music is always from the heart, with a goal to strike a connection with each listener, and leave a positive impact. When I’m not writing or producing, I enjoy performing live at local pubs in the Victoria music scene.

Q: How would you describe your music to a first-time listener?

AF: It’s heavily influenced by Coldplay, Kygo, Luca Fogale, and SYML. Some of my songs paint pictures of difficult times, while offering words of peace and better days ahead. With everything going on in the world right now, I hope that my voice can be one that leaves people feeling uplifted and inspired.

Q: What is your favourite music venue in Vancouver?

AF: Guilt & Co

Q: If someone is listening to you for the first time, which song would you recommend they start with?

AF: My latest single, “Party Ain’t Over”, was written during a difficult moment in my life when I was feeling low but I decided to title the song “Party Ain’t Over” to help those going through challenges in life. Through dim situations, look for the light at the end of the tunnel, and try and focus on the good times ahead because the “Party Ain’t Over”.
It is my favourite song that I have released so far.

Q: What was the last live show you attended?

AF: I recently saw SYML in Vancouver at Vogue Theatre. He is one of my favourite artists, and he put on an incredible
show with his extremely powerful songs.
