HAIM recently released their latest track, “Now I’m In It”, a vulnerable depiction of going through a depression. There is raw emotion not only felt in the track, but also brought to life in the accompanying music video.
SOTD: Kevin Garrett – Factor In
Kevin Garrett is known for his soulful and vulnerable songwriting. It’s no surprise that the thirteen songs on Garrett’s debut album Hoax (released earlier this year in March) were songs that were years in the making.

Jasper Sloan Yip recently released the first single, “The Day Passed and the Sun Went Down”, from his upcoming third full-length record Post Meridiem.
SOTD: Belle Game – Bring Me
Vancouver’s very own Belle Game is back, and they’re sounding bigger and better than ever. The band continues to build on the dark pop soundscapes that were introduced in their debut album Ritual Tradition Habit back in 2013. Their latest track “Bring Me” weaves in subsonic rhythms with a crescendo of vocals by Andrea Lo. The band’s sophomore effort, Fear Nothing, was released today through Arts & Crafts.
SOTD: The Paper Kites – Renegade
The Paper Kites are currently touring North America with Passenger, and will be stopping in Vancouver on Saturday March 25th at the Orpheum Theatre.

Vancouver’s swoon-y bedroom pop artist Alexandria Maillot recently released a music video for her dreamy track, “Sunday Sara”.
SOTD: Seaborne – Night Waves
Seaborne is a new electronic duo from Vancouver comprising of Maryse Bernard and Solomon Krause-Imlach. The duo recently released their debut single “Night Waves” from their upcoming EP, Lustre.
SOTD: BESTiE – Bubble Bath
BESTiE has released the perfect late summer jam with their latest single, “Bubble Bath”. The track is as bubbly and fun as you can imagine, complete with appropriate sound effects. Produced by Shawn Cole (Said The Whale, Bend Sinister), “Bubble Bath” features BESTiE’s signature tropical-pop feel. The band will be playing a hometown show at The Astoria this Saturday August 29th.
SOTD: Speed Control – This Time
Speed Control have kept their status of hardest working band from the Yukon alive this summer, as they have been busy touring and running their RAWK camps as they travel across Canada. Speed Control will be finishing their tour in Vancouver, playing two shows at The Railway Club on August 29th and 30th.
